I write therefore I am/I am what I write

When a Person only values Materialism it’s easy for them to use Other-People

Allah states:

“And don’t aspire to be greedy.”

“Perpetual-Materialism. Until you visit the Graves.”

(Noble-Qur’ān: Chpt.74, V.6; Chpt.102, V.1&2)

What I’ve learned about at-Takāthur/Materialism

From the Time we’re all conceived, until we all demise: Humanity will always want Things. Either Things one earns via their own Merit, or Things one seizes from the Posssession of Others. This is purely a Sifah (Manifestation) of al-Bashriyyah (Human-Nature/Behavior). To be Greedy is to be Human.

The Problem with Unchecked-Takāthur

If/whenever one neglects/refuses to regulate their Takāthur, it causes them to be willing to do anything and/or hurt anyone to appease their Thirst for Materialism. I’ve literally witnessed People do anything for Materialism. I’ve literally witnessed People hurt Others for Materialism. Unchecked-Takāthur will always yield Negative-Results. Even if the Negative-Results never manifest via one’s own Individual-Lifetime: rest assured…someone will be directly affected by the Greed we’ve indulged in.

How does Greed change a Person?

When we’re greedy, we become reckless & careless. We, as Humans, become concerned with only what we want as opposed to what’s for the Common-Good. We begin to view our Fellow-Man as Commodities, as opposed to Equal-Souls. We become addicted to the Profit-Motive, as opposed to respecting the Human-Spirit.

How can we resist/combat our own Greed?

We must remember that none of us will enjoy any Mundane-Possessions forever. We must remember that before we were alive, Others had Possessions: we even inherited the Possessions of Others, and in turn Others will have Possessions after we die: Others will even inherit from us. Those whom lived before any of us thought they’d always enjoy their Earthly-Possessions too, until the Angel-Of-Death packed them up. We will all get Packed-Up, via the Angel-Of-Death.
