Muhammad (Peace be upon them) stated:
“Always speak Truth, even if it’s bitter (even if it rubs People the Wrong-Way).”.

I saw a Video detailing the Issue of Muslims Human-Trafficked from African-Kingdoms/Colonies to the Western-Hemisphere via the Trans-Atlantic Slave-Trade, as well as detailing how Muslim-Africans were still capable/able to observe Ramadhān while Muslim-Slaves. The Post-Author (Imani Bashir IG: sheisimanib) concluded Several-Things which’re Historically-Untruthful/Dishonest. I’ve commented via the Post-Thread of their IG-Video…confirming that what I’m detailing via This-Article is Public-Info. albeit I’ve 0-Idea whether or not the Post-Author will respond, block me, etc.
At This-Time I’m going to higlight Several-Points that Imani Bashir brought-up
Imani Bashir emphasized that Ramadhān can’t be more than 30-Days:

Imani Bashir also mentioned that Muslims look to sight a “Crescent-Moon” to begin & end Ramadhān-Fasting. The “Crescent-Moon” isn’t what’s looked for, to begin/end Months via the Islāmic-Calendar. The Solar-Reflection of the Sun upon the Moon which is looked for is significantly smaller in appearance as opposed to the “Crescent”. What’s looked for is called the “Hilāl”.
Imani Bashir mentioned that amongst the Muslim-Slave Populations via the Western-Hemisphere were Academics&Intellectuals:

Imani Bashir mentioned Muslims whom were enslaved & brought to the Western-Hemisphere:

The Reason how/why it’s so important, to debunk Untruth/Dishonesty (particularly relevant to the Subject-Matter detailed via This-Article)
1. The (“Muslim-Slave”, “African-Slave”, etc.) Slavery-Narrative comes from somwhere & from someone.
https://gbwrites.com/2018/02/04/bilalmoviereinforcesslavenarrative/
2. The Denial/Deflection that Muslim&Non-Muslim Afro-Peoples play their Role, via the Establishment/Perpetuation of Slavery.
https://gbwrites.com/2022/07/02/islamophobestalkslavery/
3. Social-Inheritance via American-Experience, for Afro-Americans is constantly/consistently dismissed.

Sadly, for Countless Muslim Afro/Latino-Americans: we exclusively view the Histories of their Peoples via the Lens of a Slavery-Narrative. Literally, to so/too many of them: there’s nothing before Slavery. And, because of this, Slavery via the Trans-Atlantic Slave-Trade breeds Lots of Shame…Self-Hate…etc. So, naturally/expectedly: it makes Sense how/why so many Slavery-Myths surrounding the Reality of Muslim-Presence via the Western-Hemisphere and/or the Embelishment of it.
The Reason for the Embelishement: Many/Most Muslim&Non-Muslim Afro-Americans like to buy into the Mythos/Pseudo-Narrative, that the Best&Brightest were Human-Trafficked from African-Kingdoms/Colonies to the Western-Hemisphere via the Trans-Atlantic Slave-Trade. This is simply 💯% Historical-Untruth/Dishonesty. Everyone wasn’t a “Genius”, “King/Queen”, “Prince/Princess”, “Warrior”, “Polymath”, etc. There were Combos of all the aforementioned as well as none of the aforementioned amongst Enslaved Afro-Peoples. However, because Afro-Peoples have been dehumanized from the Boat to the Block via the Entirety of the Afro-American-Experience: it actually makes Sense how/why so many Muslim&Non-Muslim Afro-Americans resort to an Historical-Narrative greatly/grossly exaggerated.
It benefits no one though, to continuously uphold such Historical-Exaggerations. It sounds “Good”, seems “Nice”, it makes for Awesome-Folklore, etc. But, it’s so much more principled&integral to simply stick to Historical-Facts/Realities.
