Number-1: at-Tasawwuf (Spirituality) isn’t “monopolized” via Sūfism. at-Tasawwuf has literally existed prior to the Revelation of The Qur’ān.
Number-2:
To accuse any Muslim being “Non-Spiritual” is al-Kufr (Disbelief), via al-Buhtān (Slander), via Unjust-Takfīr (Blasphemy). It’s literally impossible to be a Theological-Muslim, without at-Tasawwuf.
Number-3:
“Sunnī” is a Misnomer. “Sunnī” is exclusively a Religio-Political Euphemism for Muslims whom’re Non-Shī`īs. Ther Terms “Sunnī” and Salafī, ironically, are Religio-Linguistic Synonyms of each other. “Wahhābism” is a Mythos/Fallacy…there’s no such Thing as “Wahhābī”.

The Proof is within the Term “Nafs” itself. an-Nafs (Ego, Personality, Self/Sense-Of-Self, Confidence, Esteem/Self-EsteemSwagger/Swagg, etc.) is comprised of 3-Anwā`/Dimensions.
an-Nafsiyyah/Humanness
an-Nafs-ul-Mutama’innah
(Spiritual-Persona)
an-Nafs-ul-Lawwāmah
(Psycho-Emotional Persona)
an-Nafs-ul-Ammārah
(Primal-Persona)
as-Sūfiyyah/Sūfism exclusively focuses upon the Spiritual-Persona. This is a Serious-Problem. It’s pathologically problematic, because it’s morally unintelligent to exclusively focus on 1-Naw`/Dimension of the Human-Persona while ignoring the Other-Anwā`/Dimensions. All-3 Dimensions of an-Nafsiyyah/the Human-Persona deserve Equal-Respect as well as Equal-Attention. Thete must be Constant/Consistent-Balance between All-3 Dimemsions. If there’s 0-Balance, then it’s realistically impossible to ever attain Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
I specifically remember being solicited to joining Sūfism after Salafism
After it became Mutawātir/Public-Knowledge, that I abandoned as-Salafiyyah/Salafism (a Decision I take Pride in till this very Day), many amongst my Circle of Muslim-Friends attempted to “convince” me to join as-Sūfiyyah/Sūfism. Ironically, it’s actually fairly commonplace for Ex-Salafīs to become Sūfīs and for Ex-Sūfīs to become Salafīs. I’ve personsally witnessed Both-Scenarios occur kinda frequently. As per Sūfism-Solicitors, it’s very typical that they attempt to lure Persons via Religio-Works authored by `Abdillah `Alawī al-Haddād: particularly their Most-Famous Work “Book Of Assistance”. I was personally gifted “Book Of Assistance”, in the Hopes that I’d “convert” to Sūfism after abandoning Salafism.
Now, to be just/fair, I actually benefitted personally from “Book Of Assistsnce” My Signature-Criticism of al-Haddād’s Eorks, however, is that thete’s Little-To-No Footnotes/References. Books authored by Man without Footnotes/References are a Red-Flag for me. Inspite of whatever Benefit I got from That-Book: it still wasn’t going to “convince” me to join Sūfism. Because, after abandoning Salafism I made a Promise to Allah, then to myself, that I’d never be Hizbī/Sectarian ever again. And, I’ve definitely been the Better-Muslim because I’ve never been Hizbī ever again.
Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs is a Sifah/Manifestation of anything which one does which is based upon at-Tanzīl/Revelation
Believing in Allah properly is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Making as-Salāh/Mechanical-Prayer On-Time is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Fasting during Ramadhān, ensuring that one fasts correctly, is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Paying az-Zakāh (Taxation) is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Giving as-Sadaqah (Philanthropy/Charity) is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Making al-Hajj/al-`Umrah (Pilgrimage) is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Being a Responsible-Parent is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Being a Filial-Child is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Being a Loyal-Husband is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Being an Obedient-Wife is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Being Physically-Fit is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Being Psycho-Emotionally Stable is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Having Good-Hygiene is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Having Courage is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Having a Healthy-Diet (consisting of Halāl/Islāmically-Allowable Foods) is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Making al-Istighfār (Forgiveness-Seeking) is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
Making at-Tawbah (Repentance) is Tazkiyyat-un-Nafs.
